Colon Cleanse Recipe With Flaxseed

When you eat whole flaxseeds, it passes undigested through the intestinal tract. Hence, it is best to use freshly ground flaxseeds. After grinding flaxseeds in a coffee grinder, store the powder in an air-tight container in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours as otherwise, it will lose its potency. Kefir is a fermented drink that you can make from milk and kefir grains which works well with flaxseed for effective cleansing.

How to Use

You should follow this flaxseed colon cleanse plan for three weeks to see good results.

Week 1

Mix 1 tbsp of flaxseed powder in 100ml of kefir or yogurt. Consume it once in the morning instead of your regular breakfast and once more before you go to bed. Do this every day for one week and drink at least ten glasses of water daily.

Week 2

The following week, mix 2 tbsp of flaxseed powder in 100ml of kefir or yogurt and consume twice in the morning and at bedtime for a week.

Week 3

In the 3 rd week, mix 3 tbsp of flaxseed powder to 150ml of kefir or yogurt. Drink this twice every day throughout the week.

Precautions

Choose organic products only and do not take large amounts of flaxseeds as it may cause bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion, and sometimes even obstruction in the digestive tract. Drink plenty of water when consuming flaxseeds to avoid these side effects. Further, check for flaxseeds’ allergic reactions when using it for the first time. Flaxseeds may cause hormonal imbalance; hence, check with your doctor if you have other medical conditions before consuming them. If you haven’t tried the fermented drink – kefir before, take a day break between weeks to help your body adapt. Walking sand deep breathing aid the cleansing process.
